This spring, TKS is launching a sweeping network upgrade that will deliver Gigabit internet connectivity to the Netzaberg housing area in Grafenwoehr.
TKS is investing over €1 million in the Netzaberg community with the installation of an all-new high-performance telecommunications network and will also be installing Wi-Fi modems free of charge in each household for instant activation of services. When the project is completed over 800 military housing units will be connected.
Information for Netzaberg residents: We need access to your home!
The overall network construction, along with the individual household installations, will proceed in a methodical street by street, house by house basis.
Technicians will require access to every home on two separate occasions. The first installation appointment is expected to last approximately 1 hour, and the second only about 30 minutes. Netzaberg residents will be informed in writing on an individual basis shortly before access is required to their home.
TKS is partnering with Netzaberg’s facility manager GS Hausverwaltung and local construction firm Freitag Gruppe GmbH to coordinate the scheduling and to perform the home installations.
What’s currently happening
- Appointment notifications will be made at select housing units in the last two weeks of April.
- The first round of home installations will begin on Monday, May 5, 2025.
