Effective September 1, 2026, AFN will temporarily reduce the number of TV channels it broadcasts. This change is being implemented by AFN as part of its ongoing broadcast operations transition.
The following AFN channels will be temporarily unavailable:
• AFN Movie
• AFN Spectrum
• AFN Family/Pulse
The following AFN channels will continue to be available:
• AFN News
• AFN Sports
• AFN Sports 2
• AFN Prime Atlantic
• AFN Prime Pacific
These changes are outside TKS´s control.
Why is this happening?
This change is the result of an AFN operational decision related to the relocation of its Broadcast Center from California to Maryland.
According to AFN, the transition timeline has recently been accelerated significantly, requiring AFN to relocate personnel and broadcasting operations within a much shorter period than originally planned. To ensure continued service stability during this transition, AFN has decided to temporarily suspend several channels.
This is not a TKS service change.
The temporary reduction of channels is the result of AFN's broadcast operations transition and affects the channels provided by AFN.
What happens next?
AFN has indicated that the affected channels are expected to return once the relocation has been completed and normal broadcasting operations have been fully established.
TKS remains in close contact with AFN and will share further updates as soon as additional information becomes available.
We understand that this temporary change may be disappointing and appreciate your patience and understanding.
